Welcome to the London "Carer of the Year" Awards 2011

The London "Carer of the Year" Awards have been launched as an acknowledgement to the thousands of professional carers in London who provide an outstanding difference, yet are amongst the lowest earners in the UK*.

The awards are designed to allow individuals to stand out and be recognised as the best within their profession, yet they provide only a small amount of the actual praise deserved to one of the hardest working sectors in the UK today.

Prospective candidates will be nominated for the awards by their colleagues, residents or even resident’s families, thus allowing any carer fulfilling their job role to be open for nomination. Nominate now...

A panel of judges will review the nominations and provide a shortlist of finalists for a prestigious awards evening to be held in London in late 2012.

The awards evening is an opportunity to highlight and reward some of the most hardworking individuals who support and care for thousands of vulnerable children and adults every day. Winners and Runners up will receive a trophy, certificate and the recognition they deserve for being involved, plus all nominees will receive a nomination badge as an acknowledgement of their hard work and service to others.

Healthcare charity MaMA are the awards charity associated with the awards and are delighted to offer their support. Charity In-Country Director, Francesca Keating said "The aims of our charity work although based in Mozambique are not that different to that of the London Carer of the Year Awards; simply to raise awareness and professionalism within healthcare.
